THE GLASS IS FULL - HALF WATER, HALF AIR

Morality And Hypocrisy : Talk of the hour with the recent AIB Video Rout.
In a society where consuming sinful pleasures like alcohol, cigarettes etc. though considered weak on the grounds of morality by some, is nothing but a matter of choice and nothing else.

But yes, there are things here that the government and the cyber law authorities need to take care of, and with the budget coming up I have a point for consideration

However strong laws we make we know it is not difficult for a 14  year old non-adult to get easily exposed to sins like cigarettes, alcohol, drugs or even for that matter obscene video or audio content on the medium.

But yes it is optically visible that people who get exposed to this audio-visual content at the wrong time is fairly high than those who get into the cycle of the sins like alcohol, cigar etc.

You know what is the distinction is ?

With heavy excise duty levied on alcohol and tobacco by the law of the land, it becomes a little expensive to regularly indulge into these types of malpractices for a fairly large amount of community from getting into all this. It is allowed but comes at a price.

So dear government, you need money right? So why not tax these so called filthy people for generating such content in our lands just because our law has a right which talks about freedom of speech. For them this is a USP in the lands here and so they better pay for it.

Dear Finance Minister you have a pocket from where you can generate a hell lot of money. We pay approx 20% tax when we have a pizza, and the person generating such content on the internet gets away for fairly less costs.

So it is easy screen them and ask for money on categories, and just see how these fancy valuation these startups command these days dry up, but remember the screening should be efficient or you will lose a rank in the Ease of Doing Business arena.

Why should Google and AIB make all the money? They littered on the streets so better pay it back for it, (And yes the 40 lakhs these people were flaunting that day is much lower they charge for a 2 minute dance at a wedding, so please dont fool us)

And yes we are a money driven public, as all this gets costlier to generate, it will atleast be a little less on the street, and even if that does not happen we will get a little more money to Make In India, so atleast we will not feel so badly about it, as atleast it would lighten our pockets a little.

Please, try thinking in this direction, A popular shitty industry is actually an avenue for tax generation.
